04 Specifications
| Requirements | macOS 14.0 Sonoma or later. Apple Silicon (arm64 — not Universal). Notarized, distributed outside the App Store. |
| Input | Video files carrying a tmcd timecode track. Start timecode, frame rate and the drop-frame flag are read via AVFoundation, plus the QuickTime creation date with its timezone when present. |
| Detection | Flags every file whose embedded start timecode disagrees with its creation time by more than your tolerance, showing the signed Δ. |
| Method | ffmpeg stream copy (-c copy) — only the timecode is rewritten; video and audio are passed through bit-for-bit. No re-encode. |
| Timecode math | Full SMPTE for 23.98, 24, 25, 29.97, 30 and 60 fps — drop-frame and non-drop. |
| Output | A new file per fix, into a folder you choose, with a naming pattern you control. Originals are never overwritten. |
| Verification | Four levels — off → quick → stream-integrity → deep. Every job is sealed ✓ / ⚠ / ✗. |
| Updates | Built-in via Sparkle. Checks in the background; update any time from the menu. |
| Accounts / analytics | None. Everything runs on your Mac — no uploads, no accounts, no analytics. |
| Third-party | Bundles a static LGPL build of FFmpeg (8.1) for the stream-copy correction. |
| Price | Free. Optional tip jar. |
