RELEASE HISTORY — TIMECODEEDITOR
Every public release, in reverse order. Updates arrive in-app via Sparkle — all v1.x updates are free.
01 v1.0 — 18 July 2026 · First public release
Core
- Spot the mismatch. For each clip it shows the embedded start timecode beside the file's creation time and the signed difference between them, so a wrong timecode is obvious at a glance.
- Fix it losslessly. Assign the creation time as the new timecode (or set one by hand), then run the batch — the video is stream-copied, so there's no quality loss and no re-encode wait.
- Verified output. Every corrected file is checked after writing — the new timecode is read back and the media streams are compared against the source, with a clear pass / caution / fail seal per job.
Details
- Drop-frame aware. Correct handling of 29.97 fps drop-frame and non-drop-frame timecode across common frame rates.
- Light or dark. An Appearance menu sets the interface to Match System, Light, or Dark.
Worth knowing
- The v1.0 build was refreshed on 19 July 2026 (build 1001) — it added the Appearance menu and a redesigned icon. In-app Sparkle updates have been live since release.
Updates are cumulative. Earlier versions are not distributed.
